Managing Director Konstantin “Kosta” Nazaruk brings a strong mix of technical expertise and commercial insight shaped by hands on experience in the North Sea decommissioning sector.

With a background in civil engineering and oil and gas management, Kosta founded NMC Energy to deliver agile, client-focused support across late-life and decommissioning projects.

Originally from Tallinn, Kosta moved to the UK at 18 to study Civil and Structural Engineering at Bradford, later completing a Master’s in Oil & Gas Management in Aberdeen. He began his professional career on the Murchison decommissioning project with CNR International, progressing rapidly into more senior roles.

He then joined Centrica (Spirit Energy), managing diving, drilling, and removal projects, and interacting with regulators and the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs by age 30. That experience cemented his decision to make decommissioning his specialty.

Seeing a gap in the market, Kosta launched NMC Energy to build a nimble, specialist decommissioning supply business, blending operator perspective with agile service delivery. Under his leadership, the firm delivers integrated project management, technical support, and full EPC solutions to support clients from concept through close out.

He splits his time between Aberdeen and the Netherlands, combining the strengths of Scottish and Dutch engineering.  At NMC Energy, Kosta continues to champion innovation in decommissioning as demand grows across the UKCS and beyond.

Graeme Hogg brings over 20 years of experience in the energy industry, with a strong track record delivering commercial and project services across the full asset lifecycle, from greenfield developments to decommissioning.

He has led multidisciplinary teams in the UK, Netherlands and Norway, working on a wide range of complex projects. Graeme has held senior roles in both major corporations and high growth businesses, shaping commercial strategies and overseeing business and project support services that keep delivery on track.

He is recognised for his clear, value focused approach, his ability to work across diverse stakeholder groups, and his support in helping teams deliver safe, efficient and cost-effective outcomes.

At NMC Energy, he leads the commercial function, supporting our clients with tailored solutions that align with project needs and long term value.

Craig is a highly experienced senior oil and gas professional with over 30 years of expertise in development projects, decommissioning, asset management, engineering, construction, and executive leadership.

Graduating as a Civil Engineer in the early 1990s, Craig’s career now spans four decades and is entering an exciting new phase with NMC Energy. His focus is on supporting the company’s growth as a leading decommissioning and engineering consultancy. Craig thrives in complex and high stakes roles, whether contributing to senior management teams of large independent operators or leading the delivery of multi-billion-dollar greenfield and brownfield developments.

His core technical expertise includes floating production systems, hook-up operations, decommissioning, subsea infrastructure, and production technology. Craig is particularly skilled at building and leading multidisciplinary teams that span the entire value chain, from subsurface and wells to facilities and operations. His strength lies in understanding and managing the critical interfaces between these domains.

Craig brings a unique blend of perspectives, shaped by over a decade at a Tier 1 subsea service company and more than 20 years within operator organisations. This combination enables him to balance competitive commercial delivery with the long term strategic needs of oil and gas operators.

At NMC Energy, Craig leads day to day operations and ensures that clients receive seamless, high quality service. He plays an active, hands-on role in project delivery, leveraging NMC’s comprehensive management systems to support clients throughout the project lifecycle.

Prior to joining NMC, Craig spent a decade at Premier Oil as part of the senior leadership team, overseeing development and decommissioning projects. He later joined Ithaca Energy, where he held senior responsibilities for both greenfield developments and decommissioning initiatives.

Arran is a hands-on leader, committed to delivering high quality outcomes that align with client expectations. He has held a range of project engineering and management roles, building on a 12-year background as an Electrical Engineer.

Arran has a strong foundation in decommissioning, having specialised in the sector since 2013. He is responsible for ensuring that Post-CoP operations are fully aligned with and complementary to the decommissioning schedule. His role includes managing key topsides interfaces with well P&A, pipeline flushing, and removals.

Arran says:
“Ensuring a seamless transition through the key operational phases such as CoP, warm stack, cold stack, lighthouse mode and dismantlement is essential to decommissioning success.

This requires multiple specialist teams within the project to work together but also requires them to work seamlessly with the operator’s operations, maintenance and integrity teams. 

It’s highly rewarding when these teams work well together. This is a vital aspect of what we facilitate at NMC Energy: bringing people and teams together with decades of experience in the complex world of offshore operations.

My primary objective is to effectively leverage the operations team’s knowledge and extensive experience to support the success of decommissioning projects.”
