NMC Energy was engaged by Ithaca Energy to provide engineering support and oversight for the decommissioning and removal of the Jacky Offshore Platform, executed by Heerema. Review of Processes and Procedures:

• NMC Energy participated in reviewing the procedures and methodologies to be employed during the dismantling of the Jacky Platform.
• The team attended Hazard Identification (HAZID) sessions to evaluate potential risks associated with Load In, Make Safe, and Dismantling operations, ensuring that all foreseeable hazards were identified and mitigated

Progress Monitoring and Control:

• NMC Energy was responsible for monitoring and controlling the progress of the dismantling operation. This involved close coordination with Heerema, the main contractor, to ensure that all dismantling activities stayed on schedule and complied with predefined safety and engineering standards.

Engineering and Preparations:

• As part of the engineering oversight, NMC Energy contributed to the planning and preparations for dismantling operations. The team ensured that all engineering aspects, such as structural integrity and lifting procedures, were meticulously designed and followed.

Support to Marine Warranty Surveyor (MWS) and Coordination with Heerema Marine Contractors (HMC):

• NMC Energy worked closely with the Marine Warranty Surveyor (MWS) to ensure compliance with insurance and regulatory requirements.
• The team coordinated with Heerema Marine Contractors (HMC) to ensure smooth execution of the lifting, dismantling, and transportation processes.

Material Segregation, Storage, and Transportation:

• NMC Energy oversaw the segregation and storage of dismantled materials, ensuring that hazardous and non-hazardous materials were properly separated.
• The team also managed the logistics and paperwork associated with the transport and consignment of materials, ensuring that all movements complied with regulatory and environmental standards.

Oversight of Personnel Competence:

• NMC Energy provided oversight of the competence of personnel involved in the dismantling operation. The team of full-time client representatives ensured that all workers had the necessary training and understanding of the risks associated with the tasks they were performing, contributing to the overall safety of the project.
